Thoughts on Christ and His Word

Many people today and many churches today worship uninvented Jesus. That is a Jesus that they have fabricated and not the one that is declared in scripture. This is what the Israelites did with the Lord. Exo 32:3-5: "So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron. 4 He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, "These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt." 5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, "Tomorrow there will be a festival to the LORD." They made a golden calf (an idol), and put around its neck "the Lord", and they thought with that, everything was good. Today many people claim to worship Jesus,  they preached sermons in his name and write books in his name, but in reality it's their invented Jesus and not the one revealed in the  New Testament.

Do any you lack passion? At times I do. Life has a way of getting us down. But God gives us Hope and Passion. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this. Isaiah 9:6-7 Hope. That is what Isaiah’s prophecy is all about. Hope of God’s Son taking over as Ruler of the World. It will bring greater joy to the world than when Obama gave his victory speech in Chicago. Jesus Christ will rule as a “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Justice and righteousness will run through the streets forever. I was greatly blessed today as I saw how the angel of the Lord in the O.T. was Jesus. I read Exodus 23 and 24. The angel it talks about must be Jesus because he has the Name of God in him and God warns the Jews not to rebel against him.

Jesus is Awesome! His ministry of restoring Israel back to God was too small for Him. So God had him restore the Gentiles also. "It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth." Isaiah 49:6 It was always God's intention to save the world - "For God so loved the world..." This verse in Isaiah magnifies and exalts the Messiah and also cues the Jews that the Messiah would not be for them along, but would be "a light for the Gentiles" also. And thank God for that.
