Anguish and Troubles
Psalms 77
The Psalmist teaches us how life is not always roses, Fruit Loops and chocolate covered strawberries.
In his time of troubles where he refused to even be comforted the psalmist wondered where God went. He complain to God and questioned whether God had abandoned mercy and grace and even abandoned his promises.
But in the midst of his anguish he forces himself to remember the good "years of the right hand of the Most High. (vs.10) He remembers what God had done for him and the wonders of creation. He also remembers how God saved Israel through Moses and Aaron at the Red Sea.
In our times of trials, troubles and misery we also need to sit and remember that God has been good, that He has delivered us before, and that he will deliver us from the current troubles also.
