The Coming Kingdom of God

Our great God is coming to implant his Kingdom in the near future. In Isaiah 25 we get a glimpse of what this Kingdom will look like for us who have believed in him.

Isa 25:6 On this mountain the LORD Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine--the best of meats and the finest of wines.
Isa 25:7 On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations;
Isa 25:8 he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The LORD has spoken.

So here's a glimpse of what we will experience in the Kingdom of God:

A banquet with rich foods, plenty of the best meats and best wines.

We will know God more fully as the veil is taken off our eyes. As it says in 1 John 3:2 "We shall be like him for we will see him as he is". And we will never again shed a tear, never again feel shame, disgrace, guilt, nor fear. This is the place to be.

This is the place we're longing for. This is the person we're waiting for. This Kingdom will be ours as we reign with Christ for evermore. As John the Apostle prayed in his last prayer, which is the last prayer in the entire  Bible - "even so come Lord Jesus."
